How MSW Helper Got Started.

Hi, I’m Michelle Bruxer, the Founder of MSW Helper.

Applying to graduate school is an exciting - and stressful - milestone for many students. Even though I have always been a strong writer, I had no idea whether the personal statements I was crafting were actually what admissions committees were looking for.

After being accepted to graduate school, I started helping other MSW applicants with their personal statements. What began as a small side project – often working out of my local library while finishing grad school – quickly grew as more applicants began reaching out for support.

At the time, I never imagined the level of demand for graduate school application support specifically tailored to social work programs.

Today, MSW Helper has edited hundreds of personal statements and supported thousands of future social workers through our free resources and advising services.

Through our blog, resource library, webinars, university partnerships, and personal statement editing services, MSW Helper is the go-to platform for students interested in applying to social work programs.
